Alpex Solar Private Limited
Alpex Solar Private Limited was incorporated in 1993 to undertake trading in Spandex, Nylon, Polyster Yarn and Knitting Needles. As a part of its strategic decision and with a view to diversify, the company commenced its PV business in 2007-08 and diversified into manufacturing of solar panels.
The company is involved in the pan India distribution of textile machinery components, speciality yarns etc., besides having a high quality solar photovoltaic module manufacturing units with a capacity of 400 mw.

Mr. P K Kheruka is Vice-Chairman & Promoter Director of Gujarat Borosil Limited, and Borosil Glass Works Ltd. Both companies are listed on the Bombay Stock Exchange.
He has been actively managing glass manufacturing companies where his family has held controlling interest for over four decades. His experience spans a wide variety of regular soda lime and specialty glasses, produced from end fired and cross-fired fossil fuel burning furnaces, as well as cold top electric melting furnaces. It encompasses melting and forming several glass compositions ranging across soda lime flint, to a variety of tinted, opal, medium and low-expansion borosilicate glasses, ranging from high heat absorbing to low iron compositions with a very high transmission of solar energy. He has in-depth knowledge of the glass marketing scenario in domestic as well as international markets. His work has taken him to all the major glass consuming markets in the world in the Americas, Europe, Middle East, Africa and Southeast Asia. He has served as President of the All India Glass Manufacturers Federation as well as of the All India Flat Glass Manufacturers Association. He is currently the Chairman of the Glass Panel in CAPEXIL, and a committee member of the Governing Council of the All India Solar Manufacturers Association. He has served on the Committee of Bureau of Indian Standards and has also represented them at meetings in International Standards Organisation (ISO).
About Gujarat Borosil Limited
- Manufacturer of high quality solar glass, fully tempered with optional anti-reflective coating (production capacity – 1 GW) used in the manufacture of solar photo voltaic panels, flat plate collectors used as a part of a solar water heating system, and for greenhouses.
- With a rating of 95.2% efficiency, its antimony-free solar glass has received the highest performance rating amongst the solar glasses tested by SPF Institute in Rapperswil, Switzerland.
- First in the world to have discovered that Antimony, a deadly toxin used as an ingredient in the manufacture of solar glass, leaches out into water, like sugar from a candy stick.

The excellent sealing possible with glass to glass allows specially made modules to be floated on suitable rafts in the sea providing power to islands.
